To mark the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the European Parliament in Strasbourg is hosting the exhibition «Myths and legends of Cyprus».
Date: 22 January 2026 to 30 June 2026
Inspired by the series of short films produced by the Press and Information Office of the Republic of Cyprus, the exhibition brings to life emblematic figures from the island's mythological world, such as Digenis, Sierolotta, Rigaina, the Kalikantzaroi and other figures born of popular tradition. Myths are more than just stories. They form the intangible heritage of Cyprus, its collective memory, its cultural DNA.
«Myths and Legends of Cyprus» is an invitation to take a journey through time, memory and the poetry of a land that continues to tell its stories.
