With its prodigious cathedral carved like a piece of lace, Strasbourg is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Because of the richness and density of its heritage, the entire city centre has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Strasbourg is well worth a visit for its history, lifestyle and gastronomy! Particularly in the European Quarter, where our furnished rental accommodation, the Cosy home de l'Orangerie, is located.
Orangery Park
The Parc de l'Orangerie, a magnificent park where some storks feel so at home that they have taken up residence here all year round.
Christmas markets
If you haven't been to Strasbourg during the Advent season, you'll have no idea how important Christmas is in Alsace. The streets of the old town are filled with the scent of spices and mulled wine, and since 1570 the famous Christmas Market or «Christkindelsmärik» has been held here every year...
The Cathedral
Dominating the city from the top of its 142 metres, the cathedral with its stained glass windows, statues, organs and famous Astronomical Clock.
The Old Town
On foot, discover Petite France, a picturesque district with beautiful tanners' and millers' houses and prestigious 18th-century princely and bourgeois residences.
You can take a guided tour of the town along the water all year round, on boats with panoramic bays and even at night.
My advice: Strasbourg City Card, to spend less.
